Tanya is the owner of West Texas Speech & Myofunctional Therapy, formed as a Limited Liability Company in 2016. West Texas Speech specializes in treating infants, children, and adults with language disorders such as unclear speech, delayed communication, stuttering, and difficulty feeding/swallowing. Tanya originally came to the SBDC in 2017 requesting assistance using QuickBooks. Interested in obtaining an SBA loan to expand her business, she returned to the SBDC in 2020 to receive assistance in creating a business plan to apply for an SBA loan. After multiple sessions, one of our consultants assisted Tanya in starting a business plan and preparing her for the SBA loan application process. After a lengthy application process, the business was approved for a $1.3 million SBA loan from a local lender to expand her business. Since then, she has had tremendous success in Odessa and has established a secure client base. From 2017 to January 2022, she has doubled her staff.
