Peter Walper, the Owner of Thermal Cam USE, first came to the SBDC in September 2018. He wanted to expand his company by purchasing new drones. Thermal Cam uses drones to inspect electrical panels, solar panels, wind turbines, leaks, and water damage, etc. He worked with an SBDC business consultant to develop a business plan and financial projections to expand his company. He entered and won a business plan competition. With the help of the SBDC, Peter was able to grow his business and provide service on a national scale. Since his opening, the business has doubled their drone count. Although the pandemic punctured the business for a several months in 2020, the business has seen a steady increase in clientele in the Energy industry. The client now has five employees.
