Brian and Shavonica Meyer came to the SBDC in August 2019 with the plan to open a Pharmacy inside the Bank of America Building on Grant Street in Odessa. Brian had 25 years of experience as a pharmacist. They worked with an SBDC consultant to create a business plan and three years of financial projections. An SBA lender approved them. They opened for business in November 2019. The company is strategically located in downtown Odessa in one of the largest office buildings in the city. Sunflower has experienced steady growth since opening. In 2020 they were provided with disaster consulting services with the SBDC.
