Owners Christine and Tommy Moore began working with the Abilene SBDC in April 2022 in developing a business plan and has continued her relationship with the Abilene SBDC. Tommy and Christine were presented with the opportunity to take over the storefront of a local jewelry store. Tommy has 30 years’ experience as a trained jeweler and Christine has 30 years of banking industry experience. Oak Tree Jewelers specializes in hand-crafted metals, designing, casting, stone setting, and all aspects of repair work. After endless meetings and complications with the loan process they decided to forgo the business loan and inject owner investment. Since their opening the business has been steady and meeting their metrics.
