Pete McGarity Jr., the owner of Ntoxifaded Bar and Barbershop, was referred to the SBDC by a local SBA lender. He needed to put together a business plan with financial projections. Pete already owned a barbershop and barber school in Odessa, Texas, but wanted to open a business in West Odessa that would combine a barbershop and bar. Pete worked with an SBDC consultant to develop a business plan narrative, three years of financial projections, and industry and market research. Shortly after opening, the business was significantly impacted by the pandemic. Pete was able to work with the SBDC to apply and secure $55,000 in PPP funds.
