Veronica Acosta has always dreamed of owning her own business. In 2019, she made that dream a reality with a grand opening ceremony for her new small business. Veronica was overwhelmed with support from the community and genuine desire to work with her small business and help her succeed. La Casa de los Suenos offers unique attire and accessories for baptisms, communion, quinceaneras, weddings, and more. America’s SBDC at WTAMU was the first place Veronica turned to when she decided to open her store, and Ana Ramirez worked closely with her to ensure she had the information and support that she needed to succeed. The COVID-19 pandemic hit her industry hard and finding a way to continue running a new small business when most events had been canceled has by far been the biggest challenge that she has faced, and thankfully overcome.
