Adam Wolf grew up on a dairy farm and is now following his father’s footsteps. But he has put a very interesting twist on things. Wolf’s Legendairy is the second fully robotic dairy in the state of Texas! They believe in providing their cows with the utmost comfort, nutrition, and care. According to Adam, “On our farm, the cows are milked 3-4 times a day as they wish and are supplied with water beds, cow comfort brushes, and ID collars to detect if they are sick.” Their milk is shipped daily by DFA and ultimately made into Daisy Sour Cream and Chipotle Sour Cream. Adam, Frank, and the employees at Wolf’s Legendairy take great pride in producing a nourishing product for their families, their community, and the public. The MSU SBDC has assisted Adam with industry reports, feasibility studies, and helped Adam rewrite his loan presentation so that it was cohesive. “The SBDC helped put together a business plan that was exceptional and well thought out. The service and knowledge they provide is worth a lot of money, yet I was able to get it for free!” – Adam Wolf. Wolf’s Legendairy supports the local community by hosting the Windthorst Junior Dairy Show during Dairy Month in June. The dairy’s incredible story about growing from milking cows with his father to using robotic technology was highlighted in the May 2021 issue Progressive Dairy magazine. Adam says the most rewarding part of his experience has been having flexibility and creating a legacy that he and his wife can pass on to their children.
