James Durbin first contacted the SBDC in July 2018 to help expanding a commercial photography business primarily for Oil and Gas. He received help writing a business plan, financial projections, and growth strategy planning. In September 2018, he was awarded a $25,000 grant. As of 2019, The Oilfield Photographer now has two full-time employees and one part-time. In April 2020, the owner applied for the PPP and received a $50,000 to help maintain his payroll and other critical operating expenses during this unprecedented time.
