O’Prest, LLC is a newspaper and digital news company that was established in 2022. O’Prest news and views provides a platform that predominantly represents people of color. They offer advertising spaces for black business owners and entrepreneurs. O’Prest is actively involved within communities and provides sponsorship for youth programs. O’Prest focuses on distributing topical issues in West Texas and is available nationwide. They plan on expanding into Midland/Odessa, Lubbock, and San Angelo soon. O’Prest a 100% woman owned business and is structured as a Limited Liability Company (LLC). Owner LaShara Preston began working with the Abilene SBDC in June 2020 in developing a business plan and has continued her relationship with the Abilene SBDC.
