Carolina and Santos Medrano grew tired of travelling 150 miles round trip to purchase authentic Mexican grocery items. They wanted to find a way to offer traditional grocery products without spending an entire day doing so. After consulting friends and family, they decided to open a grocery store of their own in Stephenville. They felt the market was underserved and they were willing to open a store to fill the market. They offer fresh produce, traditional products found in Mexico as well as products found here in other grocery stores. They aim to find products to serve the community at large and help the community to access traditional Mexican grocery products they grew up with. The Medrano’s converted an existing building using their own resources including their own labor to transform the building into an inviting store. They filled the store with traditional Mexican grocery products as well as products found in mainstream stores.
